See that little black spider? It is a black widow. Fred was fixing the irrigation system for the fruit trees at the side of the house and found tons of these nasty little things populating the box where the timer is- Yikes! I wore super long gloves to deal with that situation...The other two images ore of some little blooms emerging from 2 of our succulents. Some day I would love to go to Death Valley and see the desert in bloom- would that be amazing? I'm working on a picture book that takes place in the desert and the colors I am finding in my research/experimenting/playing are other worldly.
