Drawing Posey's stuffed animals for the next book and playing around a bit in Photoshop....the new version is SO much better than the old one. I still have my stuffed animals from when I was little. I still add (spell checker did the funniest thing with that word...I just caught it) to my collection, but now i think of them more as sculpture... a kid probably wouldn't go for them (maybe Jocko), but I think they are charming and fun. My favorite more recent sculpture addition is of course Jocko by Gretel Parker. I love her style- it's hard to find someone with such a unique, recognizable and endearing style and charm. Gretel put an "S" in the tail for "Stephanie"- isn't that so cool! Anyhow, Jocko keeps me company in my studio. He sits next to a Danish wooden monkey I had since I was a kid from my Mom who had it when she was in her teens.
Anyhow, I have a bunch of stuffed animals to come up with and want to make them very lovable and real and Posey-like.

Agreed!! I just upgraded to the new Photoshop version recently (coz the latest Mac OS made me) - at the time I was miffed that I was forced to upgrade, but I really love it and see a lot more potential for using it with my art. Now I just have to upgrade my Indesign... sigh.
Love your toy sketches btw.
:)
Love Jocko and your sketches too.
